Borrowing Procedures
Library cards are free of charge to residents of Allegheny County. Children of any age may obtain a card. The signature of a parent is necessary on all applications for a juvenile's card, ages 13 and younger.

Books may be reserved at no charge. No limit is fixed to the number of books
which may be borrowed and most of the items may be kept for 21 days. The
exception is new fiction, which may be borrowed for 7 days. Renewals are
permitted on any item not on reserve. Videos are limited to 3 per card and may
be borrowed for 7 days.
Books-on-tape are limited to 5 per card and may be
borrowed for 21 days.
Magazines are limited to 5 per card and may be borrowed
for 21 days. The most current issue of each magazine title does not
circulate.
ACCESS PA: Statewide Borrowing Card
Residents from outside of Allegheny County may borrow materials by presenting their home library card with the blue ACCESS PA sticker. Residents of Allegheny County may borrow materials from other Access participating libraries across the state by presenting a current South Park Township/EIN library card.
